MFL Teacher (French/Spanish) – Maternity Cover
Location: Chorley, Lancashire
Start Date: January
Contract: Maternity Cover – Part-Time and Full-Time Positions Available
Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)

We are seeking an enthusiatic Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teacher to join our thriving secondary school in Chorley from January to cover a maternity leave. This is a fantastic opportunity to teach French and/or Spanish to enthusiastic students in a supportive and well-resourced department.

Both part-time and full-time positions are available, and we welcome applications from ECTs as well as experienced practitioners.

About the Role:

You will teach French and/or Spanish across Key Stages 3 and 4, deliver engaging and well-structured lessons that inspire a love for languages, assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and contribute to the wider life of the MFL department and school community.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

  • A specialism in French and/or Spanish.

  • Experience teaching MFL in a secondary school setting.

  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for language learning.

  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
