Mentor

Teaching Personnel is looking to recruit a SEN specialist Mentor to help the mental well being of children at a Specialist School and College in Longridge, Lancashire.

The school caters for young people aged from EYFS to College aged with ASC. Therefore, children at this school may have difficulties with speech and language, social relationships and having strict behaviour patterns which would cause barriers to learning in a mainstream skills. The school helps overcome these barriers to allow these children to access education.

As a mentor you will be expected to help to model behaviour for the children and develop the child’s ability to adapt and accommodate change. The successful candidate must be encouraging to help the children develop effective systems of social interaction and self-behaviour management.

This role is fulltime Monday to Friday.

The pay for this role is GBP70 per hour.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
