Teaching Personnel are working with a new client offering support to adults and young people suffering with Mental Health disorders such as addictions, depression, anxiety, stress and eating disorders.
This client is looking to take on new staff with strong background in supporting mental health, who can hit the ground running and provide a professional service.
The Role
As Support Worker you have the opportunity to make a profound difference to the day to day life of clients by being a source of social, emotional and behavioural support. Your responsibilities will include;
- Delivering assigned therapies where necessary or assisting trained therapists
- Provide safe social spaces and opportunities for clients to engage in activity
- Assistance with de-escalation and seclusion
- Provide witness to administration of medication
To be considered for the role of Support Worker you need;
- Experience as Support worker in residential setting, sheltered accommodation, or as a lone worker
- Knowledge of professional advice and support for those suffering with Mental Health Issues
- Resilient and Patient - able to manage distressed clients
