Do you have experience working with individuals demonstrating challenging behaviour?

Are you looking for a new career with great progression opportunities?

Teaching Personnel are exclusively partnered with a specialist Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) provision based in Basingstoke who is currently seeking Behaviour Learning Support Assistant's to start in September 2018. The school caters specifically to Secondary aged pupils with a variety of complex needs, including: Anxiety and Self-harm, Disruptive, Antisocial and Uncooperative Behaviour.

The school is currently expanding and is seeking 2 new Teaching Assistants to START ASAP to work with pupils on a small group or 1:1 basis. The ideal candidate would have previous experience working with similar needs or be passionate about working in this type of school. This role will require successful candidates to assist pupils with a range of daily tasks, such as: transporting pupils between classes and engaging pupils with education and lesson plans.

About the candidate:

Candidates that are traditionally suited to these roles will be confident or have experience in a number of the following bullet points:

  • Criminology
  • Youth/Community work experience
  • SEN experience
  • Residential support/care worker
  • Sports coaching
  • Youth Offending Services
  • Challenging behaviour within family
  • Mentoring
  • Psychology

About the role (Learning Support Assistant):

  • Hours: 8.30am - 3.30pm
  • Monday - Friday
  • Salary: Earning potential of up to £300 per week (£54.00 - £65.00 per day dependent on experience and qualifications)
  • GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths (A-C)

In addition if you're interested in gaining new qualifications, Teaching Personnel offer development courses through our CPD Academy; such as Autism Awareness, Safeguarding and Team Teach.
