Learning Support Assistant

  • Secondary mainstream school
  • Based in Darlington 
  • Full time to start in November on a temp to perm basis 
  • £68-£80 per day 
  • Working on a 1-1 basis with a Year 7 pupil who has behavioural issues 

Teaching Personnel are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to work within our client secondary school. Our Mainstream secondary school client is based in the Darlington area and are looking for someone to start the role in September. This is an open vacancy, and you will be required to do a handover with the lady that is leaving. There is such an importance to find the right candidate for the role to ensure the year 7 pupil is supported correctly throughout the school day. 

About The Role

  • Supporting the year 9 pupil with the day to day life of secondary school 
  • Supporting in a variety of lessons, scribing, helping and ensuring the student remains engaged 
  • Confident in supporting Autism/Complex needs
  • There is a focus on personal physical, emotional and social development

Candidate specification

  • The School are seeking a committed individual that has previous experience working with children with behavioural issues. A candidate who can be receptive and who can adapt to different situations.
  • Having a committed candidate who is seeking a full time role and looking to gain valuable experience whilst supporting pupils in the school.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
