Following a request from the Deputy Headteacher we are now seeking applications from Mathematics Specialists who are able to provide tuition to students in preparation for key upcoming GCSE examinations.

If you are a Mathematics Graduate looking to gain experience in a secondary school environment then we wish to hear from you immediately.

Roles and responsibilities;

  • Keep a log on students who undertake intervention and assist on the recording and reporting procedures.
  • Work closely with other professionals such as Learning Managers and Teaching Assistants to support students.
  • Liaise regularly with the Head of Department and teachers to inform them of progress and provide relevant feedback.

Candidates with access to their own transport will be able to access the A577 easily, making the school commutable from all areas within Wigan as well as surrounding areas; Bolton and Salford. The Mathematics department consists of 8 full time specialist members of staff and the subject is well resourced within suited specialist rooms. The school is slightly larger than the national average with approximately 900 students on roll at present.
