Required January 2020 

MATHS TUTOR Term Time Only (15-20 hours per week)

Teaching Personnel are working on behalf of a Secondary School in Berkshire who are in need of a motivated individual to provide tuition in Maths for students in small groups or individual classes. The maths tutor will be working primarily with students in Years 10 and 11 with both high attainment and those identified as ‘disadvantaged’. Working in liaison with the Leader for Maths and the Maths Department, the successful maths tutor will be expected to put schemes of work in place and mark / assess completed work giving feedback to students. Knowledge of AQA Maths is favourable.

Qualifications/Experience

  • Good Degree
  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • Post 16 teaching experience is desirable Knowledge
  • An up-to-date knowledge of curriculum developments and the National Curriculum
  • Knowledge of the full range of teaching and learning strategies

  • Good ICT skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Energy and enthusiasm
  • A good organiser
  • A sense of humour and a positive ‘can-do’ approach
