Maths Tutor

Teaching Personnel are looking for tutors to teach Maths to students in and around Hull.

Students may be Looked After Children who need education put in place whilst they are in care or students in school who need interventions in the build up to exams. Students will be working at different academic levels so it is important that you can identify and adapt to these.

You will be working with students 1:1 in an agreed setting such as their care home, school or local library. The roles are flexible and tutors often complete multiple assignments a week. Tuition can run for a couple of weeks or for a number of weeks dependent on the student’s situation.

It is important you are a caring individual as well as a confident tutor as your students may be vulnerable and come from a number of different backgrounds. You will plan, deliver and assess each session giving feedback on your student’s progress.  You will receive between GBP20-GBP25 per hour for tuition.

You will need:

• A Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to get one)
• Experience in tutoring or teaching
• Relevant qualifications which could be degree, masters, qualified teacher status
