Maths Teacher

Part-time Maths opportunity available from February 2021, to cover a staffing gap within the Maths department. 

• Part-time 0.6 Maths teacher
• Required from February 2021 until the end of the academic year.
• Secondary school located in central Manchester, accessible via the M66 motorway.
• Paid to teaching scale point (GBP24,714 - GBP41,604 per annum).

The school is located close to Manchester City Centre and is easily accessible via the M60 from surrounding areas such as Rochdale, Oldham and Blackley. The school also has excellent links to public transport from neighbouring areas including Moston for applicants on public transport.

The incoming Maths teacher will be expected to teach a part-time timetable across Key Stage 3 and GCSE alongside taking on full planning and marking responsibilities. The school is known for its welcoming staff and excellent induction training so applications are being accepted from newly qualified Maths teachers as well as experienced. The successful teacher will be responsible for setting both classwork and homework tasks for pupils at varying levels of learning ability. The incoming Maths teacher should also monitor and assess pupils progress and behaviour and be able to report this back to the Maths department should it need further discussion.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
