Ofsted graded 'good' Roman Catholic secondary school in the Wigan LEA wish to appoint a Mathematics teacher to join their department from Easter 2019 on a full-time basis.

This Mathematics teaching position is a temporary post with employment available for the remainder of the academic year. The successful Mathematics teacher will be required to teach a complete timetable including GCSE classes ensuring that they continue to achieve excellent results at GCSE level.

  • Full-time Mathematics teacher required from Easter 2019.
  • Initially guaranteed until the end of the academic year, with the view of extension into the new academic year (2019/2020).
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS (ÂŁ23,720 - ÂŁ39,406 per annum)
  • The school welcome applications from Mathematics teachers of all experience levels (NQT's and experienced Mathematics teachers)

This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic Mathematics teacher to work within a well-respected Roman Catholic secondary school that holds an excellent reputation within the local community and Diocese. Teaching standards within this school are constantly improving and the school wish to appoint a Mathematics teacher that can compliment the current Mathematics Department. In a recent Mathematics Ofsted report, the school have achieved an overall grade of 'Outstanding' across all criteria.

Located on the outskirts of Wigan town centre, the school is easily accessible from the surrounding areas; St Helens, Leigh, Warrington, Chorley and Bolton. On site parking is available to all staff and the facilities in school are state of the art, building developments in 2015 have given classrooms a modern look with excellent resources. There are just over 950 pupils on roll with a lower than average number of pupils who speak English as an additional language.
