Job description

Due to a recent internal promotion, there is an exciting opportunity to join a secondary school at an exciting point in their transition teaching up to GCSE level.

  • Full time Teacher of Maths required from September 2020
  • Fixed term contract until the end of the academic year in the first instance (July 2021)
  • Teaching Maths to both KS3 and KS4 students
  • Smaller than average, Ofsted graded ‘Good’ secondary school in Trafford
  • Pay in line with MPS and UPS (GBP24,373 - GBP40,490)

Our partner secondary school is located in the Stretford area of Trafford, ideally situated close to a Metrolink tram stop and a short drive from Manchester city centre. The current Headteacher has been involved in strong improvements across the school in recent years, shown by their most recent Ofsted inspection where they received a ‘Good’ rating. Prospective candidates to this exciting role should have experience of planning and delivering highly engaging lessons to a range of learners, as well as being passionate about closing the gap between disadvantaged students and their peers.

Ideal candidates will also have experience of supporting students with additional needs and Special Educational Needs (SEN). Applicants to this role should hold Qualified Teachers Status (QTS) in the UK or relevant teaching qualifications.
