Key Stage 1 Intervention teacher

  • Play a pivotal part in raising attainment throughout school

Teaching personnel are seeking to recruit qualified teachers for Key Stage 1 Maths intervention opportunities in and around the Loughborough area. The ideal candidate will have delivered Maths intervention in the past and be able to demonstrate previous successes from the work the have completed.


To teach small groups of targeted students literacy and numeracy, adapting resources to ensure all students are able to make progress within this group.

To assess, monitor, record and report on the learning needs, progress and achievements of assigned students.

To assist in adapting resources to ensure students from this group are able to access the wider curriculum.

To contribute to the identification and selection of students to take part in the programme as appropriate.

To adapt resources for personalised in class support of students in other key lessons.

To work with students who have been in receipt of initial targeted support to ensure that their progress is sustained and transferred to their wider learning.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
