New teaching opportunity within a diverse Maths department.

• Full time Teacher of Maths required from February 2020.

This large mixed comprehensive secondary school in Salford are looking for an additional teacher due to a gap in their Maths department until the end of the academic year, with the potential for permanent employment thereafter.

The school has recently gone through a period of transition and is now consistently producing strong GCSE results across the board with Maths being identified as a key strength. The incoming Maths teacher will be expected to take on full planning and marking responsibilities alongside teaching a full timetable across Key Stage 3 and GCSE.

As a Teacher of Maths joining this friendly and hard working department, the incoming Maths teacher will be expected to take on full planning and marking responsibilities alongside teaching a full timetable across Key Stage 3 and GCSE. The successful candidate will also be expected to support the in class teaching assistants and provide intervention sessions to targeted students. Prospective applicants should hold relevant teaching qualifications and will ideally have experience of teaching Maths up to GCSE level, whilst supporting a range of different learners including Pupil Premium students and pupils with SEN and learning difficulties.

The school is located in the Eccles region of Salford, close to a number of public transport links including bus routes and local tram stops from neighbouring areas including Bolton and central Manchester. For candidates with their own transport, the school can also be accessed via the A580 and M62 from the surrounding areas of Greater Manchester.
