Maths Teacher

Due to a reshuffle in their Maths department, our client school has the need for a Maths teacher to join their department from Easter, initially on a 12 month basis with the option to extend beyond this upon successful completion.

* 12 month fixed-term contract in line with MPS

* Option to take initial term on supply (£110 - £160 per day)

* Join a collaborative Maths team with experienced Head of Department

* Consistently improving secondary school

Serving the local areas of Watersheddings and Spring Hill, there is currently over 1400 students currently on roll at our client school. The school serves a diverse catchment area with students of white-British heritage and minority ethnic backgrounds being of a roughly equal number, with more than average speaking English as an Additional Language. The school was opened in 2010 when it's two predecessors opted to merge to ensure that all students could access state of the art provisions. Since the appointment of the new Head, there has been a number of targeted changes across the curriculum and improvements in standards of teaching and learning has paid dividends in raises in attainment across core subjects, in particular Mathematics.

Requirements of this post as a Maths teacher;

* PGCE or relevant teaching based qualification

* Experience teaching Maths at KS3 and GCSE

* A track record of delivering engaging lessons to all ability groups
