Maths Teacher – Secondary Schools | Wimbledon & Surrounding Areas
Recruiting via Teaching Personnel

Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a number of secondary schools across Wimbledon and the surrounding areas to recruit qualified Maths Teachers for short-term, day-to-day, and longer-term opportunities.

This role is strictly for fully qualified Maths Teachers with relevant UK secondary school experience. Please do not apply if you do not meet the essential requirements outlined below.


About the Role

  • Teaching Mathematics across KS3–KS4

  • KS5 opportunities available depending on experience

  • Planning and delivering engaging, curriculum-aligned Maths lessons

  • Monitoring pupil progress and maintaining strong classroom behaviour

  • Roles available across Wimbledon, Merton, Kingston, Sutton, and nearby areas

  • Day-to-day, short-term, and long-term roles available

  • Full-time and part-time opportunities


Essential Requirements
✔️ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – ESSENTIAL
✔️ Degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject
✔️ Proven experience teaching Maths in UK secondary schools
✔️ Strong subject knowledge and effective behaviour management
✔️ Ability to support pupils of mixed abilities
✔️ Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

Please note: Applications will not be considered from candidates without QTS or relevant UK secondary Maths teaching experience.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
