Maths Teacher – Secondary School – Weymouth
Full-Time | Permanent | Start Date: April
A dynamic and aspirational secondary school in Weymouth, Dorset, is looking to appoint a passionate Maths Teacher to join their successful Maths department. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher or a motivated ECT ready to begin their career in a supportive and forward‑thinking environment.
The Role
In this role, you will:
- Teach well‑structured and engaging Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4
- Deliver a curriculum that encourages problem‑solving, resilience and mathematical curiosity
- Use assessment effectively to monitor progress and plan targeted support
- Create a positive, inclusive learning environment that supports all learners
- Work collaboratively within a strong Maths team to drive curriculum development
- Contribute to wider school initiatives and enrichment activities

Ideal Candidate Profile
You will be:
- A qualified Maths Teacher with QTS (or an ECT nearing completion)
- Confident in teaching KS3 & KS4 Maths
- A strong communicator with excellent subject knowledge
- Someone who sets high expectations and delivers engaging lessons
- A reflective practitioner who thrives in a team environment
- Able to build positive relationships with students of all abilities
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics
- Ability to teach KS3 and KS4 confidently
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
