For our partner school based in the Waterlooville area, we are seeking to recruit a committed teacher of Maths, someone who is passionate about improving their own pedagogy continuously alongside like minded specialists to ensure the consistent delivery of high quality teaching and learning.
The school is part of an academy trust which enables their staff to focus on their core purpose. They ensure a good work/life balance and ensure their workforce are supported and professionally enriched. Being a research school, they really focus on shaping their teaching around what evidence tells them which is reflected in their carefully structed CPD programme, growing their own respectable leaders who go on to lead high performing teams. They allow their teachers to be creative with a flexible approach. Whilst they want their teaching to have structure, underpinned by the outcomes they ought to achieve, teachers may interpret this how they wish to optimise impact.
As a Maths Teacher at this school, you should share their core values and ethos of ‘excellence for all, from all’. Your teaching should be driven by passion that promotes a love for your subject and develops your students into confident young people, equipped for life beyond the school gate. You should be able to create a positive learning atmosphere that ensures all students enjoy their lessons and no student gets left behind. At KS3 you should be able to link your teaching to the real world focusing on developing a deeper understanding with a mastery approach to learning that encourages greater fluency into KS4. You should also be willing to enrich your students experience of Maths by contributing to their extra curricular programme which offers much more than just revision clubs.
If you would like to join a forward thinking school that achieves results above national averages, who believes that every child deserves an excellent education, where the work of its staff does not go unnoticed then you are encourage to apply.
The school has a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children of which we, as a recruiting partner share. All staff that meet ‘regulated activity’ will be required to undertake an enhanced Disclosure and Baring Service (DBS) with Barred Lists check before employment commences.
All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see teachingpersonnel.com/faqs for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
