Are you a fully qualified Maths teacher looking for a role within a secondary school?
Our client school in Salford are currently looking for a Maths teacher from February 2020. Due to a member of staff going on maternity leave, our client school are in need of an additional teacher to join their Maths department in order to cover this absence.
- Full-time Maths teacher required from February 2020.
- Covering a minimum of 9 months maternity cover with the potential of this continuing further.
- Pay in line with scale point NQT-UPS (GBP24373-GBP40490)
Application Requirements
- Applications are urged from both experienced and newly qualified teachers as all relevant support and an induction will be provided.
- Must have QTS and a subject specialism in Mathematics.
- Any experience supporting pupils with challenging behaviour or learning difficulties is desirable.
The incoming Maths teacher will be expected to take on full planning and marking responsibilities alongside teaching a full timetable across Key Stage 3 and GCSE. The successful candidate will be planning, preparing and delivering differentiated Maths lessons to meet needs of individuals at various levels of learning. The incoming teacher can also expect to guide pupils with challenging behaviour and will be expected to implement strategies to help manage this behaviour.
Our client secondary school has been noted for their welcoming culture and staff community alongside the strong level of support that they provide their staff with, in order to ensure the most efficient teaching methods. The school also has an outstanding Maths department with specific facilities for lower attaining pupils in order for them to reach their targets.
Located in the Eccles region of Salford, this mixed comprehensive school has over 1000 pupils, aged 11-16. The school is easily accessible via the M61 and A580 from the surrounding areas of Greater Manchester. For candidates who do not drive, the school is also accessible via various forms of public transport from neighbouring areas such as Bolton, central Manchester and Trafford.
