Job Title: Teacher of Mathematics
Location: MK8 (Secondary School)
Salary: £170 – £240 per day
Contract Type: Full Time
Start Date: ASAP


About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint an enthusiastic and passionate Teacher of Mathematics to join our supportive and driven team. The successful candidate will have a genuine passion for teaching and learning, with a strong commitment to delivering innovative and engaging lessons.

You will play a key role in contributing to our evolving and ambitious curriculum, while also supporting and encouraging student participation in extracurricular activities.

Job Purpose

  • To implement and deliver a broad, balanced, relevant, and differentiated curriculum for students.
  • To support a designated curriculum area as appropriate.
  • To monitor and support the overall progress and development of students as a teacher/Form Tutor.
  • To facilitate and encourage a learning experience that enables students to achieve their individual potential.
  • To contribute to raising standards of student attainment.
  • To share in and support the school’s responsibility for promoting both personal and academic growth.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging Mathematics lessons.
  • Assess, record, and report on the development, progress, and attainment of students.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Support students as a Form Tutor, including pastoral responsibilities.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and departmental planning.
  • Encourage and support student involvement in extracurricular activities.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and carers.


Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in Mathematics or a related subject.
  • Experience teaching Mathematics at secondary school level.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Desirable:

  • Experience delivering GCSE and/or A-Level Mathematics.
  • A track record of raising student attainment.
  • Experience as a Form Tutor.
  • Ability to contribute to extracurricular programmes.

  • Enthusiastic, motivated, and passionate about Mathematics education.
  • Innovative and creative in lesson delivery.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
