Job Title: Maths Teacher (SEN School)
Location: Chorley Area
Contract: Full-Time

About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Maths Teacher to join a supportive and well-established specialist school in the Chorley area. This provision caters to pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), including moderate to complex learning difficulties, autism, and associated needs.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver creative, differentiated maths lessons to meet the diverse needs of learners with SEN
- Adapt teaching strategies to support pupils with cognitive, communication, and emotional needs
- Develop and implement individualised learning plans (ILPs) in collaboration with wider staff
- Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress in line with school expectations
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and pastoral teams
- Support pupils’ social, emotional, and independence skills alongside academic development
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent
- Experience teaching Maths at KS3/KS4 (SEN experience highly desirable but not essential)
- A strong understanding of adaptive teaching and differentiation
- Patient, empathetic, and resilient with a genuine passion for working in SEN
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Committed to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of all pupils

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
