Teacher of Mathematics
Location: Epping
Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent
Start Date: September 2025

A highly respected and well-established secondary school in Epping is seeking to appoint a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Mathematics to join its permanent staff from September 2025. The school has a strong tradition of academic excellence and is renowned for its supportive and inclusive environment.

The successful candidate will become part of a collaborative and forward-thinking Mathematics department that prides itself on delivering engaging and high-quality learning experiences. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious teacher who is eager to inspire students and make a lasting impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Mathematics lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (with potential for KS5 depending on experience)
  • Assess, monitor and report on student progress in line with school policies
  • Contribute to the development of schemes of work and departmental resources
  • Participate fully in the wider life of the school, including enrichment opportunities and extra-curricular activities
  • Maintain high expectations of students and uphold the school’s values and standards

Requirements:

  • A recognised UK teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, QTS) or equivalent
  • A degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching Mathematics
  • Proven ability to inspire, motivate and engage students of all abilities
  • Excellent communication, organisational and classroom management skills
  • A commitment to continuous professional development
  • The right to work in the UK

Desirable:

  • Experience teaching A-Level Mathematics or Further Mathematics
  • Familiarity with current developments in Maths education and curriculum
