Maths Teacher

Teaching Personnel is recruiting a Maths teacher for a Durham secondary school. Full time position starting January 2026. ECTs and experienced teachers welcome to apply.

What you'll be teaching:

Maths across secondary. Delivering lessons to a range of abilities, using creative teaching methods, inspiring students to engage with problem solving. Working within a supportive department that values collaboration and student success.

You need:

  • Strong Maths subject knowledge and enthusiasm for the subject
  • Excellent communication skills (with students and colleagues)
  • Creative teaching approaches tailored to different abilities
  • Solid classroom management and confidence to inspire
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development

Pay: £168.60 to £261.78 per day according to your teaching scale point (M1 to UPS3)
Contract: Full time
Start: January 2026
Location: Durham

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
