Position: Mathematics Teacher
Location: Bedford
Working Hours: 8:15am – 3:15pm, Monday to Friday (term time only)
Contract Type: Full-time, temporary
Pay: Based on experience

Teaching Personnel is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Maths Teacher to work full-time at one of our partner secondary schools. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about learning, enjoys working collaboratively, and brings energy and positivity into the classroom.

Daily Pay Rates:

  • Qualified Teacher (QTS): £160 – £240

  • University Graduate: £110

  • Teaching Assistant: £85 – £95

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering well-planned, engaging Maths lessons that meet a range of learning needs

  • Supporting students’ academic progress and personal development

  • Monitoring progress through assessment and providing constructive feedback

  • Maintaining positive behaviour management strategies

  • Building strong relationships with students, staff, and the wider school community

  • Participating in school activities and wider events when required

  • Working across multiple sites or outreach provisions where necessary (access to a vehicle required for pupil transport)

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • A recognised teaching qualification

  • GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above, or equivalent)

  • Strong classroom management, communication, and ICT skills

  • A patient, calm, and caring approach to working with young people

  • A clear commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education

There are also opportunities to work within SEND settings, as well as in primary or secondary education.

Safer Recruitment Checks:
All applicants must be prepared to complete:

  • An Enhanced DBS check (Update Service preferred – support available)

  • Two professional references covering the past 24 months

  • An overseas police check if you have lived abroad for 6 months or more within the last 5 years

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
