SEN Maths Teacher – Barnstaple, Devon
Are you passionate about unlocking potential through the power of numbers? Teaching Personnel is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Maths Teacher to join a specialist school in North Devon, starting in September 2025.
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-time (Monday to Friday)
Salary: £31,650 - £45,646 + SEN Allowance

Located in the scenic countryside of North Devon, this specialist school supports students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and associated learning difficulties. The school offers a nurturing and structured environment, with a strong emphasis on therapeutic support, personalised education, and developing essential life and academic skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver differentiated Maths lessons to meet the individual needs of learners
- Support students in building their numeracy, reasoning, and problem-solving skills
- Collaborate with SEN support staff, therapists, and the wider teaching team to ensure a holistic and consistent approach
- Create a positive and supportive classroom environment that encourages engagement and progress
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a Maths specialism
- Experience working with students with SEN, particularly in an SEMH setting, is highly desirable
- Strong classroom management skills and a compassionate, adaptable teaching style
- A commitment to inclusive education and helping every learner achieve their potential
