DT Teacher – Barnstaple, Devon

Are you enthusiastic about igniting creativity and practical skills in students? Teaching Personnel is looking for a dedicated DT Teacher to join a specialized school in North Devon, starting September 2025.

Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-time (Monday to Friday)
Salary: £31,650 - £45,646 + SEN Allowance

We emphasize therapeutic support, personalized learning, and overall development, fostering student confidence and skill enhancement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver dynamic Design and Technology lessons tailored to individual student abilities
  • Facilitate the development of practical skills and creativity
  • Collaborate closely with SEN support teams and therapists to ensure holistic educational support
  • Cultivate a positive, secure, and stimulating classroom atmosphere

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent in Design Technology
  • Experience working with SEN students, preferably in an SEMH environment
  • Effective classroom management skills with a nurturing teaching approach
  • Passion for inclusive education and student achievement
