A Roman Catholic secondary school are looking to recruit a Maths teacher ahead of February/ March due to a member of staff unexpectedly being required to relocate. This is a rare opportunity for any Maths teachers looking to secure their next post within a well regarded Roman Catholic secondary school with a strong management team.

  • Maths teacher post - February start ideally
  • Full time position, initially for 12 months with permanent opportunity available
  • Ofsted graded 'Good' during most recent inspection
  • Teaching both KS3 and GCSE Maths within a high achieving Maths department
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS dependant on experience

"Due to a gap within our Maths department, we have an opportunity for a Maths teacher to join our team in February. Any Maths teachers joining our school will be given a great opportunity to work within our state of the art department and teach our respectful and polite pupils. Maths is a strong subject and we consistently achieve results above the national average" Head of Maths.

Applicant specification;

The Maths department and leadership team are looking to recruit a Maths teacher who is able to create a positive learning environment and influence pupil progression no matter what their ability. The incoming Maths teacher will hold a timetable consisting of teaching Y7-11 and the school are able to provide you with a tailored timetable to match your teaching style in order for you to have the most impact within this role. A strong classroom presence and the ability to build strong relationships with pupils is an essential attribute the school are on the lookout for. You will have full access to first rate CPD and regular reviews to access and progress within this forward thinking Maths department.

The School;

This catholic 11-16 secondary school have a large Maths department made up of several members of staff. Located in the Gravesham area, this school is most easily accessible via private or public transport. On site parking is available to all staff and the facilities in school are state of the art. Building developments in 2015 have given classrooms a modern look with excellent resources. There are just over 950 pupils on roll in school with a lower than average number of pupils who speak English as an additional language.
