Are you a confident Maths graduate or an experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for numeracy? A well-regarded secondary school in Gorton is looking to appoint a dedicated Maths Specialist Teaching Assistant to support students across Key Stages 3 and 4 from September.

This role offers a fantastic opportunity to help close the attainment gap and support pupils' progress in Maths, working alongside a dynamic teaching team in a school that values high expectations and inclusion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students in class and through targeted small group interventions in Maths

• Assist teachers in delivering structured and engaging Maths lessons

• Help students with exam preparation and understanding core concepts

• Track progress and provide feedback to teaching staff

• Promote a positive and confident attitude towards numeracy

Ideal Candidate:

• A Maths graduate or TA with strong numeracy skills

• Experience working with secondary-aged students (in schools, tutoring or mentoring)

• A proactive, encouraging, and patient communicator

• Committed to helping students overcome barriers to learning

• Organised, reliable, and confident in classroom settings

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
