Teaching Personnel are working with local authorities (including virtual schools and SEN Services) to provide catch up tuition for students in the Surrey area. The majority of the placements will be for pupils who are currently out of school and awaiting school placements and tuition will be provided in a home environment. These pupils have missed out on large chunks of education and require specialist support to help them catch up with the curriculum.
Tuition is currently on the rise within core subjects (Maths, English and Primary) and experienced educators would be beneficial to offer the support required. The students supported range from KS1 to Post 16 so are seeking both Primary and Secondary specialists.
Your Role
As the tutor, you will plan, produce and deliver tailored sessions in the home of the student. Often, the pupils have varied SEN needs including ASD< ADHD< SEMG and challenging behaviour.
Requirements
- QTS or equivalent
- Endless enthusiasm, patience and resilience
- Experience working with primary and secondary pupils
- Experience working with SEND or challenging behaviour (desirable)
- Experience tutoring children 1-1 (desirable)
- A valid, enhanced DBS certificate or willingness to apply for one through Teaching Personnel
