Maths Intervention - ASAP Start - Full Time role delivering maths booster sessions to small groups of pupils that are taken out of mainstream classes

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a local secondary school in Abertillery to recruit a Maths Graduate who can deliver maths lessons to small groups of children in preparation for exams this summer. These intervention sessions are aimed at increasing the points scoring of the pupils numeracy. This role is ideal for a maths graduate or someone who has a strong maths background who is considering doing their teacher training as this will be great experience.

This is a large secondary school with a highly successful maths department. Living close to the NP13 area code is essential if you don't have your own transport. This role will be supporting pupils year 10 and 11 with different abilities. You will be allocated your own room with a revolving door where pupils can come in and out throughout the school day. All learning materials will be provided as you will work very closely with the head of the maths department. 

The successful candidate will need:

  • Maths degree or equivalent
  • Experience delivering schemes of work (Tutoring, Coaching, workshops)
  • Enhanced DBS 
  • Registered with the education workforce council (Assistant provided)

Teaching Personnel will offer guidance throughout the whole process as well as continuous training to help excel in this intervention role.  You will be paid weekly between GBP300 - GBP450 dependant on experience.

This role is perfect for a recent maths graduate or a current teaching assistant looking to progress in their education career.
