Are you are recent Mathematics Graduate wishing to pursue a career in Secondary teaching in the future?

If so, our client Secondary school have an open vacancy for a Mathematics Graduate to join the Mathematics faculty on a full time basis from September 2018.

This position will incorporate working alongside students within the Mathematics department across Key Stage Three and Key Stage Four, supporting their learning experience and providing targeted intervention to raise attainment within the class.

"Our Mathematics department wish to appoint a Mathematics Graduate to work as a specialist Teaching Assistant within the faculty from September 2018. This opportunity will provide the successful Mathematics Graduate with invaluable experience prior to completing a teacher training programme, and will involve working with both high and low attaining pupils in the Mathematics department. We are accepting applications from experienced Maths Tutors, recent Graduates and aspiring Mathematics teachers and wish to appoint at the earliest convenience." Head of Mathematics

  • Full time Mathematics Graduate required, September 2018 start
  • Working with pupils in small groups and on a 1:1 basis in Mathematics
  • Gain experience planning and covering Mathematics sessions
  • Earn up to £1200 per month whilst gaining invaluable experience
  • Working within an Ofsted graded 'Good' RC Secondary school in Salford
  • Accessible via public transportation links from central Manchester and Trafford

The Mathematics department are working towards achieving excellence and ensuring all pupils have the tools to achieve above their expected target. The success Mathematics Graduate will provide small intervention sessions with pupils and support the class teacher throughout the temporary one year position.

The RC Secondary school in Salford have over 1,000 pupils on roll and have an average Progress 8 Score. Recent refurbishments mean that the school has access to state of the art facilities and the Mathematics department has spacious open learning areas for intervention sessions to take place.

*It is essential that the incoming Mathematics Graduate has previous experience working with young people to be considered for this position.*
