Are you passionate about education and looking for a rewarding role within secondary schools in Tameside? Teaching Personnel is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to join our team. This role is perfect for individuals who are interested in gaining valuable experience in a classroom setting and are committed to making a positive impact on students' learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise classes during the absence of regular teachers, ensuring that students remain on task with their work.
- Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Deliver pre-set work provided by the regular teacher.
- Support students in understanding the tasks at hand and assist with any questions.
- Report back to the regular teacher on student progress and any issues that arise.
- Follow school policies and procedures at all times.
Requirements:
- A genuine interest in working with young people and supporting their education.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in different schools across Tameside.
- Previous experience working with young people is desirable but not essential.
- A degree or equivalent qualification is advantageous.
- A valid DBS check registered with the update service or willingness to apply for one.
