Maths and Science Role

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting a Maths and Science Teacher to work in secondary school in Monmouthshire. This is a long term position based on a full timetable split between Maths and Science, initially due to run until April, there is a strong possibility of the role extending. The role will be teaching key stage 3 for both subjects having experience teaching maths and science iis required. This role would be an excellent opportunity for both Newly Qualified Teacher’s (NQT’s) as well as more experienced teachers.
This role has been made available due to the additional funding from the Government Catch Up Scheme.
The ideal candidate must:
- Be passionate and knowledgeable, with the ability to inspire and motivate students to succeed
- Register with the education workforce council
- Hold an enhanced DBS
- Two recent education references
The successful Maths and Science Teacher will be expected to:
- Teach all areas of the school curriculum or your subject specialism
- Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment
- Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges
- Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
- Maintain discipline
- Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils’ development
- Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
- Take part in school events and activities which may take place at weekends or in the evening
The school are looking to appoint by no later than October 20th. Interviews will be held at the school with the Headteacher and the head of departments.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
