Maths & English Tutor

Teaching Personnel work alongside virtual schools and SEN services in and around the local Portsmouth area. Following the coronavirus pandemic, we have seen an increased demand for experienced tutors to provide catch up programmes to pupils who have had their education disrupted.

We expect tuition requests to increase again in January within core subjects (Maths, English and Primary) and specialists in these field would be beneficial in order to fulfil the current need. Teaching Personnel support pupils ranging from Year 1 to College age, so we are looking for both primary and secondary specialists.

Pupils may need tuition for a variety of reasons, including:

• Behavioural difficulties (pupils excluded from school and awaiting a new placement)
• Emotional needs including school phobia or anxiety
• Medical needs
• Relocation and awaiting a school placement
• Improvement in grades
• Support with GCSE preparation

Tuition requests can be anything from 1 hour per day to full time support and the majority of our placements will be provided outside of a school environment for pupils awaiting school placements. This therefore represents an excellent opportunity for teachers who need flexibility or are looking to utilise their teaching skills outside of a school environment. QTS is essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
