Large Roman Catholic Secondary school in the Moston region of North Manchester are actively seeking to appoint a Mathematics teacher following the Easter break or earlier if possible. This open vacancy will initially commence on a temporary basis until the end of the summer term, with the security of a permanent position in the new academic year (September 2018).

"Due to a departmental restructure, we have an open vacancy within our Mathematics department for a teacher to join our team from Easter 2018. We do have provisions to accommodate an earlier start if the successful Mathematics teacher can do this. It is essential that interested applicants have experience teaching Mathematics to students across Key Stage Three and GCSE and can successfully differentiate Maths work to meet the requirements of all learners" - Head Teacher.

  • Full time Mathematics teacher required, Easter start or sooner
  • Experience teaching across KS3 and GCSE is essential, planning and marking required
  • Pay in line with teaching scale point, £22,917 - £38,633 per annum
  • Permanent opportunity in the new academic year
  • Full support and CPD opportunities through the Diocese

The large RC Secondary school has 1,300 pupils on roll at present, and due to a significant increase in pupil intake each year, the school have recently inherited an additional building to utilise for classrooms and open learning spaces. A higher than average percentage of pupils are eligible for pupil premium funding and the majority of pupils are of White British heritage. The incoming Maths teacher will be expected to implement the ethos and values of the school within lessons and create a diverse and engaging environment to facilitate learning.

Our client Secondary school is located in the Moston region of North Manchester, with public transportation links leading from Oldham, Rochdale and Manchester City Centre. For drivers, the M60 Motorway provides a direct route to the school from Greater Manchester areas.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
