Are you an eager and ambitious Mathematics teacher looking for a full time role?

An 'outstanding' Catholic school are looking to hire a teacher for a September start date.

Secondary School seeking a Mathematics teacher - Twickenham

A Secondary Catholic school, based in Twickenham, is looking to hire an experienced and fully qualified Maths teacher for a September start date, with interviews towards the end of April and beginning of May. This is a permanent and full time role, working 5 days a week from 8:30am to 4pm. Teachers will be required to teach Maths up to key stage 5.

The successful applicant must have experience teaching Mathematics in secondary schools at key stage 3 to 5 levels. Any Newly Qualified Teachers currently looking for roles will be considered for this position.

NQTs will be considered for this role

The role

  • Qualified teachers required (QTS or PGCE)
  • Full time and permanent working role working till the end of the academic year
  • £120-£230 a day depending on experience and qualifications
  • Experience teaching Maths at KS3-KS5 required for FQTs
  • NQTs will not require such experience

This Twickenham based Catholic school prides itself on the high standards and high results it achieves in Mathematics and Science. They have state of the art facilities and it has led to further investment into modern facilities such as fully equipped ICT suites, smart boards, tablets, school wide WIFI and many more.

This school's leadership affords teachers the opportunity to influence the curriculum to benefit their students. Incoming staff will be required to teach mainly KS3 and KS4, but there would be some lessons within the timetable for Maths A-level. This balance of lessons can change after a couple of months on the role if requested.

Leadership at the school want to continue and strengthen the already high standards in the Maths department, over 75% A*-C at GCSE level. Therefore, they are looking for a strong classroom practitioner who is looking to develop their leadership skills to later take on added responsibility. Within the classroom, support staff will be provided to ensure teachers can manage behaviour whilst delivering high quality lessons. This school is looking for staff who have strong subject knowledge over behaviour control.
