Teaching Personnel are seeking to appoint an specialist SEN Teacher - PMLD for a highly successful SEN school based in Cwmbran. The school provides an outstanding level of care and education for young people who have a range of needs including profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), severe learning difficulties (SLD) and complex autistic spectrum disorders (ASD). The school requires a motivated, skilled and resilient SEN Teacher - PMLD with experience of working in an SLD or PMLD environment or a strong interest in teaching children with complex needs. The role requires you to start at 8:30 and finish at 3:30, creative planning and light marking will also be involved. The role will be an 8 month contract starting 1st December. This role may also turn permanent for the right candidate.
The chosen candidate will demonstrate energy, enthusiasm and the ability to teach effectively across a range of subject areas. You may have experience of supporting young people with severe learning difficulties or PMLD but this will not be essential. You will have a flexible approach and will be able to meet the changing needs of our young people. You will benefit from on going support from Teaching Personnel and have the luxury of full access to any CPD training that we are running.
