Are you a teacher looking to take the next jump in your career? Well a school in Bexley, London is seeking an experienced deputy head teacher to start immediately.

A non-selective comprehensive school in Bexley, London that has only opened a couple of years ago is looking for a deputy head teacher as the school expands. There is a unique opportunity for an aspiring leader to become part of the forward-thinking and committed leadership team. The school are interviewing immediately and want to get the right person in as soon as they can.

The school are seeking someone who has significant whole school responsibilities and experience in their current school and has a clear understanding of the primary curriculum. The successful candidate will be someone who can think and plan strategically and innovatively and is an outstanding role model for colleagues.

The school is part of a national cluster so you will be supported by a number of senior colleagues from other schools. There will be the opportunity to work with these schools to exchange ideas with other senior leadership members and find the best approach for each school. This post would therefore suit a candidate who is ambitious and aiming for their own headship as you will already be familiar with the other cluster schools in your local area.

The successful candidate will:

• Demonstrate high levels of ambition and optimism regarding what the academy and its students can achieve

• Take responsibility for day to day management of the school

• Demonstrate evidence of raising attainment and developing excellence in their previous roles

• Have the resolve and enthusiasm to make a real difference to the lives of pupils
