Male SEN Teaching Assistant – Bromley – September Start (Temporary)

Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant seeking a role where you can make a real difference in a young person’s life? Teaching Personnel is supporting a specialist school in Bromley to find a dedicated Male Teaching Assistant to work closely with a male pupil who is transitioning into Year 7 this September.

The pupil has severe autism and requires consistent, one-to-one support to manage behaviour, follow routines, and access learning. Due to the personal care and behavioural needs involved, the school is specifically seeking a male Teaching Assistant to work with this boy, ensuring the most appropriate and supportive environment is provided.

This temporary role would suit someone with a calm, patient, and structured approach, and who understands the importance of building trust and stability for young people with complex needs. You will also assist with wider classroom duties in line with the expectations of a Teaching Assistant in a special school setting.

Applicants must have experience supporting pupils with autism and be ready to commit to a full-time role starting in September. All necessary vetting and safeguarding checks will be conducted prior to placement.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
