Job Title: Lunchtime Supervisor

Location: Hodge Hill 

Contract Type: Part-Time, contracted 
Working Hours: 11:30 - 13:45

About Us:  We are seeking a dedicated and responsible individual to join our team working in primary schools as a Lunchtime Supervisor. The key role would be toto ensure the safety and well-being of students during lunch breaks.

Role Overview: As a Lunchtime Supervisor, you will play a key role in providing a safe, secure, and friendly environment for students during lunchtime. You will be responsible for overseeing students in the dining hall and outdoor areas, ensuring good behavior, and assisting with any issues that arise. The role requires excellent communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to manage a group of children effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise students during lunch periods, ensuring safety and good behavior at all times
  • Assist with the smooth running of lunch service, ensuring students are seated and eating properly
  • Manage playground activities and encourage positive social interactions
  • Deal with minor incidents and report any significant concerns to senior staff
  • Support students with any dietary or medical needs during lunchtime
  • Ensure cleanliness of dining and playground areas during and after the lunch break

Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience working with children (desirable but not essential)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and deal with minor conflicts
  • A proactive and approachable attitude
  • DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) clearance (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
