LSA's required in Dorset

Job description

Teaching Personnel are currently in need of LSA's to work in Dorset. Areas we currently work with are Poole, Bournemouth, Blandford Forum, Sturminster Newton, Wimborne, Weymouth, Dorchester, Christchurch and Sherborne.

The Learning Support Assistant's (LSA) main role is to provide support for pupils with a statement of special educational needs. The LSA will ensure that pupils can integrate as fully as possible in the activities prepared by the class Teacher.

Teaching Personnel can offer part time and full time positions as well as day to day flexible work.

As your role will involve working with young people that have special needs, it is essential you have experience supporting children or adults that have SEN or present challenging behaviour. It would be beneficial if you have a good understanding of Autism.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
