The Head Teacher of a primary school in Darwen is seeking an experienced teaching assistant to provide general support within the Year 4 class. This is a full-time role to begin from the end of October 2019 (after the half term break) for the entire academic year - potentially longer. The primary school has been graded 'GOOD' in their most recent OFSTED; the school have a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The Head Teacher has highlighted the staff's dedication to the pupils' social, emotional and academic progression and achievement.

The Head Teacher has stated that they are interested in appointing a qualified teaching assistant (level 2+) for this role. The school require applicants to have relevant experience working in a Key Stage 2 classroom setting. You must also be able to follow the teachers plan and differentiate work to suit pupils with varying needs, create a purposeful and stimulating learning environment and form good relationships with children, parents/carers and staff. You would be expected to work closely alongside the Year 4 Class Teacher and support the school's vision and ethos.
