A warm and welcoming primary school Teaching Personnel work closely with are looking for a Literacy specialist who can deliver interventions to both KS1 and KS2 in order to help raise pupil attainment starting after the Christmas holidays in January 2020. The school is rated as ‘Good’ by Ofsted and is situated just 20 minutes away from the Leeds city centre. The school are looking for a confident and inventive individual who has had experience with primary school children and Literacy interventions.
Located within the heart of LS13, this position may involve working additionally with a cluster of primary schools in the surrounding area therefore candidates need to be well prepared and organised with intervention preparation for up to 12 weeks per school. Candidates for this role may also be required to show evidence of previous experiences and intervention planning within schools.

- Candidates must be available school hours and flexible with day to day and long-term work
- Candidates must have a positive attitude and have experience working with KS1 and KS2 Literacy
- Candidates need to be confident when teaching KS1 and KS2 Literacy to children of different abilities
- Candidates need to be open to trial days and providing group and individual support for KS1 and KS2 pupils with the aim to increase pupil attainment and engagement levels
- Candidates need to show responsibility for their own learning as well as personal and professional development through experience, qualifications and trainings
- Candidates must be able to work as a team and individually
