EYFS Level 3 Teaching Assistant – Bootle Primary School

Location: Bootle, Sefton
Start Date: 3rd November 2025
Contract: Full-time, long-term with potential for permanent


 

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Bootle who are seeking a dedicated EYFS Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong Early Years knowledge who is passionate about supporting children at the very start of their educational journey.

As an EYFS Teaching Assistant (Level 3 qualified), you will:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum

  • Provide 1:1 and small group interventions to promote literacy, numeracy, and early communication skills

  • Contribute to learning through play, phonics sessions, and child-led exploration

  • Assist with classroom organisation, observations, and assessments in line with EYFS frameworks

  • Build strong relationships with pupils, parents, and staff to support progress and wellbeing


Candidate Requirements

✔️ Level 3 Teaching Assistant / Early Years Qualification (or equivalent)
✔️ Knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and child development milestones
✔️ Experience supporting children in Nursery or Reception settings
✔️ Strong interpersonal skills with a nurturing and patient approach
✔️ Ability to work as part of a collaborative and supportive team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
