Job description

Teaching Assistants – Primary Schools, Huntingdon & Peterborough
Location: Huntingdon, Peterborough, and surrounding areas
Contract: Temporary (with many opportunities to develop into long-term or permanent roles)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm
Salary: £95 – £120 per day (Highest-paying agency in Huntingdon & Peterborough)


About the Role

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting L3+ Teaching Assistants to support primary schools in Huntingdon, Peterborough, and nearby areas. Our partner schools require both one-to-one support staff and general teaching assistants across various year groups. You will work with children of differing needs and abilities, providing support both inside the classroom and occasionally outside it.

These roles are temporary initially but many have the potential to become long-term or permanent positions.


About the Schools

The schools we work with are welcoming, supportive, and committed to providing an excellent learning environment. Working in Huntingdon, Peterborough, and surrounding villages, you will typically work school hours from 8:30am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday. There are both full-time and part-time vacancies depending on the role.


Requirements

To be considered for a Teaching Assistant position in Huntingdon & Peterborough, you should:

  • Have at least six months’ experience working in a school or similar educational setting within the last three years

  • Hold a relevant TA qualification (desirable but not essential)
