The Role
We are looking for a motivated and caring Level 2 Teaching Assistant to be shortlisted for the opportunity and join the support staff network of this large Secondary School hosting over 1200 pupils. You will work closely with teachers to support student learning and development, particularly assisting students with additional needs. This role is vital in helping students access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities

Supporting students’ learning in and out of the classroom

Assisting with the delivery of planned learning activities
-
Supporting students with special educational needs or disabilities

Helping to maintain a positive and safe learning environment

Assisting with supervision during breaks and lunchtime as required

Contributing to the monitoring and reporting of student progress

Working collaboratively with teachers and other staff members
Person Specification
-
Experience working with children or young people, preferably in a Secondary school setting
-
Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience
-
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
-
Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting young people
-
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
-
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students
