Level 2 Teaching Assistant – Mainstream Primary School
Start Date: September 2025

Are you a passionate and experienced Teaching Assistant looking to make a difference in a vibrant, inclusive primary school? We are seeking a dedicated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our committed team from November 2025.
About the Role
This is a full-time position supporting learning across all key stages within a mainstream primary setting. As a Level 2 TA, you'll work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to deliver high-quality support to individuals and groups of pupils. You may also be asked to lead learning activities independently and support children with additional needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide classroom support to ensure effective teaching and learning
- Assist in planning and delivering tailored interventions
- Support the emotional and social development of pupils
- Work with pupils on a 1:1 or small group basis, as required
- Contribute to the preparation of learning materials and classroom displays
- Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers
- Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and staff
What We’re Looking For
- Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
- Previous experience working in a primary school setting
- Strong understanding of the primary curriculum
- A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
