Teacher of Religious Education (RE)
Location: Wigan
Start Date: January 2026 (or sooner if available)
Contract Type: Full-time, long-term (with potential for permanent placement)
Salary: MPS/UPS – dependent on experience

Are you a passionate and inspiring Teacher of Religious Education looking to join an inclusive, forward-thinking secondary school in Wigan?

We are working with an Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ school that prides itself on delivering a well-rounded curriculum that promotes respect, tolerance, and critical thinking. The school is seeking an enthusiastic RE Teacher who can engage students across KS3 and KS4, fostering curiosity and a deeper understanding of religion, ethics, and philosophy.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or be working towards it

  • Be able to deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons in RE

  • Promote a positive learning environment where all students can succeed

  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through enrichment activities and pastoral support
