Teaching Personnel are looking for motivated and professional people who would like to make a difference in the lives of young people. We are currently working with a range of schools in Eastbourne and the surrounding areas who cater for children who have social, emotional and mental health difficulties. We also work with pupil referral units which are alternative provisions for children who are not suited to a mainstream educational setting. 

Pupils have a range of needs including:

  • Challenging behaviours
  • Difficulty regulating their feelings and emotions
  • Additional needs such as ASC, ADHD and mental health issues such as PTSD
  • Working at a lower level to their peers in subjects such as English and Maths

We are looking for people who:

  • Can relate to young people and build positive relationships with the,
  • Are able to understand and empathise with young people and children
  • Can stay calm and professional at all times
  • Are resilient to challenging behaviours and tasks
  • Are professional and reliable at all times

You will be working with pupils between the ages of 6 and 16, supporting them both academically and emotionally. However, our priority is finding people who can support the pupils with their goals and aspirations and giving them the motivation and encouragement they need to succeed in their future.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
