Learning Support Assistant – Temp-to-Perm Role (Farley Hill)

Location: Farley Hill, Wokingham
Contract: Temp-to-Perm (permanent after 4 weeks)
Start Date: September 2025
Interviews: Taking place throughout August 2025


Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)? Addington School is looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team at the Early Years Centre in Farley Hill. This position begins on a 4-week temporary basis, with the clear intention to become permanent.

You’ll be working closely with teachers and therapists to support pupils with a wide range of complex needs, including communication challenges, physical disabilities, and behavioural difficulties. It’s a challenging but deeply rewarding role.


Working Hours:

During initial 4-week temp period:

  • Monday to Friday: 8:30am – 3:30pm

Once permanent (after 4 weeks):

  • Monday: 8:50am – 4:15pm

  • Tuesday to Friday: 8:50am – 3:25pm

  • Wednesdays during probation: 8:50am – 4:30pm to attend mandatory after-school training

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
