Job Title: Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant - SEN & SEMH
Location: Southampton & surrounding areas
Pay: £13.75 per hour
Contract Type: Flexible to you

Teaching Personnel is seeking caring, resilient, and motivated Learning Support Assistants and Teaching Assistants to work across schools and alternative provisions in Southampton. You’ll be supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Whether you're experienced or just starting out, we provide full support and training.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 or small group support to pupils with SEN or SEMH needs

  • Help manage behaviour positively and promote emotional wellbeing

  • Support learning plans in the classroom and during off-site activities

  • Work with students who may have autism, ADHD, trauma or anxiety

  • Collaborate closely with teaching staff, SENCOs and external professionals

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
